Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Taco Seasoning Mix
Grated Low Fat Cheese*
Romaine or Other Large Leaf Lettuce
Cook the ground beef until no pink remains. Add seasoning mix. Place three lettuce leaves on plate. Top with approximately two tablespoons turkey, 2 tablespoons cheese and 2 tablespoons salsa. Alter amounts to suit your taste and nutritional requirements. Either roll lettuce into the center lengthwise or eat like a taco.
*Sometimes I leave out the cheese to reduce the fat and/or calories in the meal.
You could also add sliced olives or avocado for variety. Try creating your own variations. This is a great way to cook for the whole family. Other family members can eat these in a traditional taco shell and add traditional elements such as shredded lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream.
